Cheeky site a big hit for Capital firm

A CAPITAL businessman has enjoyed a smash hit of his own after being approached to design the official website for popstars The Cheeky Girls.

Gavin Bonnar, owner of design company Chameleon Design, based in Tollcross, said he was delighted to be asked to design the website for the pop sensation, whose single has shot up the UK music charts.

Mr. Bonnar 36, said: "I found out about the opportunity through friends of mine who put on exhibitions".

"their father is an exhibition contractor and asked my friend if he knew anyone who did web design and he approached me".

"The company I was up against have designed websites for Paul McCartney, Queen and Kylie so I was up against tough competition".

"But it has all worked out well and I'm really pleased to be a part of the project and have designed the website for the band who could even be the Christmas number one.

The website has had more than 15,000 visitors since it was launched, which is great, and I'm really lucky that I had this opportunity," he added.

The website was launched to coincide with the release of their debut single Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum!) on 2/12/02.
